South Keys–Hunt Club
South
Overview
South Keys and Hunt Club are adjoining south-end neighbourhoods named in part for the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club, established in 1907. The area mixes apartments, townhouses, and single-family homes across a wide range of ages and backgrounds, anchored by the South Keys Shopping Centre — home to big-box retailers and a movie theatre since 1996 — and the smaller Hunt Club Centre and Hunt Club Market Place, the latter home to one of Ottawa's largest Asian supermarkets. Hunt Club in particular has an active community association and roughly three times the greenspace of a typical Ottawa neighbourhood, including the Sawmill Creek wetlands along the Rideau River.
