Blackburn Hamlet
Este
Resumen
Blackburn Hamlet is one of only two Ottawa communities entirely surrounded by the National Capital Greenbelt, giving residents direct access to more than 250 kilometres of hiking and cross-country ski trails right outside their door. Originally settled in the 19th century and part of the former city of Gloucester before Ottawa's 2001 amalgamation, it grew into a family suburb through the 1960s and 70s and has kept an old-fashioned, village-like feel despite being closer to downtown than most newer suburbs. Free community amenities include an outdoor pool, splash pad, skating rinks, tennis courts, and a skateboard park, linked by a network of treed parks and bike paths.
