Greely–Metcalfe

Resumen

Greely and Metcalfe are rural villages south of Ottawa, both part of the former Osgoode Township before it joined the amalgamated city in 2001. Greely is now the largest rural village in Ottawa by land area, having grown quickly with executive home developments and several man-made lakes while still keeping its village character; Metcalfe remains smaller and more tranquil, surrounded by farmland and known for preserving its historical charm. Seasonal farmers' markets and nearby breweries and wineries are popular draws for both communities.

This is a car-dependent rural area outside OC Transpo's regular network; local county roads (including Bank Street and Mitch Owens Road) connect the villages to the rest of Ottawa. Check octranspo.com for any routes currently serving the area.
