Findlay Creek–Leitrim is one of Ottawa's newest south-end communities, built largely on former farmland since the 1980s and still growing. It draws young families and first-time buyers with a mix of singles, townhomes, and detached houses, plus a commercial strip along Bank Street with everyday retailers. A defining feature is the 500-metre Findlay Creek Boardwalk, which lets residents view the provincially protected Leitrim Wetland — home to around 90 year-round bird species and a rare calcareous fen ecosystem.

The neighbourhood is close to Bank Street and Leitrim station on the O-Train Trillium Line (Line 2), which opened in January 2025, with several OC Transpo bus routes providing further connections. Check octranspo.com for current routes and schedules.
