Manotick

Aperçu

Manotick is a heritage village on the Rideau River, about 25 km south of downtown Ottawa, established in 1864 by Moss Kent Dickinson. Its best-known landmark is Watson's Mill, a working 1860s grist mill on the riverbank that is one of the few operating industrial grist mills left in North America and still sells stone-ground flour milled on site. A walkable Main Street lined with shops and restaurants, along with a busy calendar of community events, gives Manotick a small-town feel distinct from the surrounding suburbs.
