Westboro blends an urban village with a beach town, centred on Richmond Road's mix of independent restaurants, outdoor-gear shops, yoga studios, and specialty food stores. It has developed a distinct identity around health, wellness, and outdoor living, helped by its proximity to Westboro Beach on the Ottawa River, where residents swim in summer and cross-country ski along the riverside pathway in winter.
